Distribution: Africa

Basic Care: Finch mix, fruits and vegetables, *Feast egg food, *Daily Essentials vitamins, *Calciboost.

Sexing: Males grow tail that resembles the "bird of paradise" for breeding season.

Breeding: Can breed in cages or colonies, parasitic bird lays eggs in nest of Melba finch or St Helena's waxbill.

Lifespan: 5-7 years

Compatibility: Non-aggressive, can mix with most finches.

Hardiness: Hardy.
