Distribution: South America

Basic Care: Pretty Bird Lory pellet diet, soft fruits, *Daily Essentials vitamins, *Calciboost.

Sexing: Males have larger white wing patch.

Breeding: Can breed in large cages or aviaries in parakeet sized wood nest boxes. Prefer to nest high using coco fiber nesting material. Require live food to breed & raise young.

Compatibility: Aggressive toward other softbills, but can mix with most finches.

Hardiness: Hardy.
